Heading down to Houston in the morning to welcome 409 into the world

Heading down to Houston in the morning to welcome 409 into the world! Prayers for Jordan and Mark appreciated See their blog (Double A Connected), link to the side of this blog.

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

Did you ever have one of those days when everything made you cry, everything sounded gloomy and bleak, and every thought coming out of your head was negative? And you are WAY past menopause, so you cannot even blame it on Aunt Flo....
That is today in a nut shell for me. I know the Word tells me to rejoice in everything and to give thanks to Him for everything. SO I am thanking Him for this gloomy day, and rejoicing for this day that is so sad for me for some unknown reason.

Phillipians, Chapter 4
1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.

2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.

3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.

4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.

11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.

16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.

17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.

19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.

22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.

23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

And for anyone who happens to have dropped in and read this blog, Please pray for me I am too gloomy for it to be of any good.

I have been bombarded with posts and emails about how the HSUS has been trying to destroy the agriculture and dog and cat businesses in our nation in the past few months. It is just sad what is happening. In one state, you will have to pay $500 fee if you have an un neutered male or female dog on your property, $500 per animal that is, so if you are a breeder, you will be paying upwards of $2000 a year in fees even when you are not breeding, and even if you decide to have the dog neutered because he or she is not going to turn out to be a good dog to breed. This is just ridiculous. Our rights are being taken away in almost every area lately. Our nation is not the nation it was just three or four months ago. NAISE is trying to get every animal in America recorded and tracked under the guise of "health and safety issues" but the truth is, BIG BROTHER has come and HE PLANS TO STAY! HE IS INTO EVERY AREA OF OUR LIVES nothing is not under his control. It is to the point where no one can do anything without some sort of interference from the government. When will it end? What should we do?

...good news gives health to the bones.

Okay, so sometimes I am not quite the nice Sunday School teacher personality I should be. I admit that occasionally I loose my cool. That is what I did to my poor husband this morning. He was trying his best to help me with getting things in order. He worked on making the dog yard a little more secure, and then started to put up the back yard fence. I wanted the fence to be all oak posts, and was letting the fence be the woven wire we had for financial reasons. Well, he was setting steel posts so he could just get the job done. It was not a concern to him that steel posts belong in my opinion out in the pasture, not around your should be nice back yard fence. But all in all DOES IT REALLY MATTER? NO, it really does not and I am so sorry I got upset over something so silly. I hope he is not upset with me to the point of not putting the fence in at all.... I am so glad he is home for a few minutes, and feel badly that I got upset over this issue. Steel posts are fine (not really, but it is what I am getting so I am going to be happy with it anyway.)And the good news is that I am getting a backyard fence put in! That really is good news!

Proverbs 15:30
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart,
and good news gives health to the bones.

Gardening

Was looking through one of my garden magazines a few minutes ago and have decided tomorrow I will get some of those little seed starters for myself. I was thinking how nice it would be to have a few potted plants in the front yard this spring, but have looked at the price of them at the garden center and found them to be cost prohibitive. So I think I will grow my own, starting this next week, I have a class now on every Tuesday. I will be teaching an agriculture class to a group of Homeschoolers in our church. This first couple weeks we are going to learn about plants and growing a garden. Molly has decided to ask if the kids could grow a garden behind the church. Tuesday we will begin by growing a seed of their choice from my packets. I am looking forward more to the animal classes as that is what I love the most, but I am looking forward to teaching them how to grow their own food. It will come in handy in the next few years!

My Three youngest were out for dinner today

:

I made them a roast beef dinner. I served for William, glazed carrots, for Kristi, peas, and Joshua, Potatos ala Terry. They all wanted the roast beef... Anyway I forgot to give them their strawberries before they left....my bad... It was a nice day for all of us.

Kristi had a nice nap, and got rid of her headache, and William sat on one of my new leather chairs and played on line. He then fed and watered my (I mean Micaiah's) cats. They all left soon afterwards as both Kristi and Joshua had meetings at church.
Joshua and I looked for the fabric for his good kilt. I think he is going to have it made in a really cool Fabric called Anderson Weathered. We will know tomorrow if we can get it.here is the swatch:

Anderson Clan

On April 26, 2009,
Terry Anderson,
Head of the Terry Anderson Clan will be turning 60! We will be having a BIG Christian Celtic celebration to honor him on April 25th all day at the Washington State park. Our sons and grandchildren will be donning their kilts and entering into some fun Scottish games. We are hoping to get a nice family portrait done that day, as just having a great time of fun and fellowship and food with our family and friends. I am starting today to get things organized and planned for the day.
Our son Mark will be getting ordained on March 22 at the Hillsboro Christian church, at 4 in the afternoon. This is going to be yet another of the wonderful celebrations we are having this year. God is blessing us a lot in these times of struggle in our nation. We just need to look around and find our many blessings.
God is good, all the time.
All the time, God is good
