My Car died on the way home today.

I went to town to get groceries and some more manicotti for dinner at Kristi and Joshua's tomorrow, and on the way up the hill on Pat Daly Road, my Suburban died on me. The man in the truck behind me pulled me on up the hill and into my yard. But until Terry gets home, I am now "home bound" I will enjoy watching some TV and also work on my other stuff in line. I have a back seat full of groceries I need to unload from the Burb when it gets light tomorrow morning. My snowman (surprise from John's kids) was slowly melting away today. He has lost his head so far. The weather got very warm today. I have been rather sick with a cold, and head ache today. The dogs have been upset with something across the road most of the day. Not sure what they are seeing or hearing, but I could not see or hear it. Well I am off to watch some TV or maybe ply Marbles or Spider on here. TTYL

It is sooo very cold!

I am at Mark and Jordan's. Terry and Mark are hunting in Nebraska this week. It has been snowing/sleeting on and off (mostly on) for almost 24 hours. I just turned on the heater in my room, and will let it warm the room for a while before I turn in. Caedmon is already in bed It is interesting to hear the sleet on the roof and windows. Sounds different from rain or snow. I think the sound of the sleet makes it feel even colder. We got out for a while today, went to the 5 and dime in town, and then to the Coffee Shop for lunch. I must tell you, Caedmon is one CUTE little boy! Having fun here! I have learned to play Ink ball on this computer, and spent way too much time playing it.
Last week I was with Matthew and Chandra and the boys while they moved into their new home in Houston MO It is a very nice house, and a very nice congregation they are serving. I am excited for them. The boys have a huge bedroom, and each has his own walk in closet. That will be nice for them, and they also javascript:void(0)have a lot of places to hide for Hide and seek! I will go home again if the roads ever clear up.

Baby its cold outside!

It is 10 degrees and snowing here in Old Mines. Our electricity went off three times last night, and our water froze this morning. Terry worked all morning and into the afternoon getting it thawed.-
The dogs got bored on Tuesday, and tore up their cushion. Terry cleaned that up for me, and gave them a new cushion. I threatened to severely punish them if they tear up this one. Boomer is the one who tore it up. He is in so much trouble with me! They had to sleep last night without a cushion, so maybe they will appreciate it tonight. The kittens are doing great. They are getting to where I can actually stand nearby while they eat. I am thinking they will soon be gentle.
I got an email asking if I had any sheep for sale. I sure wish I did! Maybe by this next year that will happen. I am hopeful things will get going in 2010 for us.
I am so glad Terry was home to help me through this trying time! I remember back when I lived at the blue house in Cheyenne one cold February and only very young Kristi and Joshua were there to do chores with me. They had some rough mornings and nights back then. I am wondering what happened to Al Gore's global warming... it sure is not warming here in Missouri

Ancestry....

This picture is of my Mom and Dad, Dorothy and Walter Ferguson.

I worked a little bit on our ancestry this past week. It is a lot of fun for me, and I am very curious about who our forefathers and mothers were. I have gotten stuck with Terry's great grandfather on h is Anderson side, and can get no further than his grandfather on his Young side. I have emailed some of the Youngs to see if they have more information, and hope I can get more. I have all the Fergusons back to John and his wife who migrated to Canada. See the tree by going to our Ferguson Site, Ferguson Clan I have a lot of the Hoffer side of my family. I also have the Salsbury side back quite a ways. I sure am having fun learning where our families came from. If you have any information, or any photos to share, please email them to me! Thanks!

Aussies are Awesome!

This first photo is of Quiggley and his boy, Caedmon.

I have had an Aussie almost continually since I was 8 years old. My first Aussie was a black dog named Hank. He lived until I was about 20 years old,he never was a cow dog, but he sure was an awesome pet for me. Its not that he couldn't or didn't know how to work cattle, He just chose not to. The one time he actually did earn his pay as a cattle dog was when my mom and I had to get some cows in that got out. We got rather frustrated, cause they were not wanting to go in the gate they were suppose to go in. My mom out of exasperation yelled, "Hank why don't you put those cows in for us?" He looked at her, jumped out of the pickup, put the cows through the gate, and returned to the pick up very nonchalant. Yes, I think that was his one and only day of work.

This is Quiggley and his owner, Caedmon...

And this is the red tri, Samson with his boy, Asher.
Asher's brother, Levi, has a little black tri, Maggie, or I guess I should say Maggie has a boy named Levi. and Joshua has a black bi, (Quiggley's sister) named Dolly. Our grandson Isaac has his dog Boomer, a blue merle here on the property with my red tri, Lily. I don't have pictures of any of them cause I don't have a digi cam yet...
Our family has a nice little variety of Aussie pets, These are just a few. .
